Pool Closing

Complete winterization for in-ground pools. Everything that is included is listed below - no surprises on the invoice.

Water left in the lines freezes, expands, and breaks things - and those repairs cost far more than the closing does. That is what a proper winterization is for.

What's Included

  • Set the water level - on most pools, dropped below the skimmers and returns to the right winter level. Fiberglass pools are left full or barely lowered, because dropping the level can damage the shell.
  • Blow out the plumbing - every line cleared of standing water.
  • Antifreeze where needed - pool-grade, in the lines that call for extra protection.
  • Plug the returns - sealed at the wall so the lines stay clear.
  • Drain the equipment - pump, filter, heater, and salt cell emptied and left in place. We do not remove or store equipment.

Cover handling depends on your tier: on Basic, you cover the pool yourself; Standard and Deluxe cover it for you, using your own cover. Installing a brand-new or replacement cover is a separate service, quoted on its own.

Optional add-ons, not automatically included:

  • Winterizing chemical kit - a closing treatment sized to your pool. It does not balance your water - it's added protection under the cover, not a substitute for chemistry.
  • Final vacuum - a last pass before the cover goes on.
Don't wait for the first hard freeze. The most expensive equipment damage we see comes from pools closed too late - or not at all. Once overnight temps start dropping in late fall, get on the schedule. It's a lot cheaper than a new pump and cracked plumbing in the spring.

Booked and On the Record

On the day, you get an ETA text and can track your tech live on a map. Everything we do is logged to your account, so when opening season comes around we know exactly how your pool was put to bed.

What We Don't Do

We service in-ground residential pools only - not above-ground, commercial, indoor, or grotto pools, and not pools with equipment inside a home or basement. If your pool is outside our scope, we'll tell you upfront.
